✍🏼 Hi Derek here. I’m excited to share a powerful reminder about something simple—but game-changing.

To help we can manage customers more efficiently, we provides an Auto-Tagging feature.
When a new customer signs up through our onsite widgets (such as popups or the loyalty page), the system automatically applies a tag in Shopify (e.g., Acquired_via_loyalty).
With this tag, we can:
- Clearly identify customers acquired through loyalty programs
- Quickly filter and target loyalty members in marketing campaigns
- Better integrate and analyze loyalty data across systems

How it works
- Any new customer who clicks Loloyal content and signs up within 24 hours will be automatically tagged.
- Actions tracked for analytics when clicking login/signup buttons in Popup – Increase member signups, Widget panel, Loyalty page, Redeem at checkout, and Points at checkout are included.
- Due to technical limitations, customer actions on the checkout page may not be tagged. And on the checkout page are only tracked within the same browsing session.

✅ This feature is only available on our Loloyal Growth Plan and above.
🙋♂️FAQ
● Can I customize the tag name?
Yes. We can enter our preferred tag name in the configuration settings instead of using the default tag.
● Will existing customers be tagged?
No. Tags are only applied to newly registered customers; existing customers will not be re-tagged.
● If we disable this feature, will previously tagged customers lose their tags?
No. Disabling the feature will stop tagging new customers, but previously applied tags will remain in Shopify.
● How can we use these tags for marketing campaigns?
Once tags are applied, we can use them to filter and segment customers in Klaviyo, or other marketing tools. For example, we can create an automated workflow that sends a welcome email to new customers who have been tagged as Acquired_via_loyalty. This email can:
- Thank them for joining our loyalty program
- Introduce the benefits and rewards they can earn
- Provide tips on how to start earning points or redeeming rewards
By using the tags, we can ensure that only loyalty members receive this targeted communication, improving engagement and encouraging repeat purchases.

More updates are on the way—stay tuned!
